These terms govern your use of Small Wallet. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
Small Wallet reads the balances and transactions of bank accounts you choose to connect, compares them against a budget you set up yourself, and tells you what you can spend. It is an informational tool.
It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. The figures it shows — projected balances, possible savings, daily allowances — are estimates derived from data your bank has reported, which may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Pending transactions in particular can change or disappear. Always check your bank's own records before making a decision that matters.
Bank connections are made through Plaid. In using them you also accept Plaid's end user privacy policy. Small Wallet requests read-only access to transactions and balances; it cannot move money in or out of a connected bank account. You may disconnect any account at any time from the Accounts page, which revokes the connection and deletes the data it provided.
Wise is optional and separate. If you connect it and configure a transfer rule, Small Wallet will move money between balances you own, and only between those — never to a third party. You are responsible for the rules you set up.
Small Wallet is offered with a free trial, after which it requires a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period already paid for. Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it.
Do not:
The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It depends on third parties — banks, Plaid, Wise, email and hosting providers — and may be interrupted, delayed or discontinued. Data may fail to sync. No guarantee is made that it will be available, accurate or uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Small Wallet and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, nor for any financial decision you make on the basis of information the service displayed. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You may stop using the service and ask for your account to be closed at any time, by writing to support@smallwallet.net. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or on reasonable notice if the service is discontinued.
These terms may change. Material changes will be announced by email before they take effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
